Opened in 2000, the Great Rift Valley Golf Course is celebrated for its challenging play and breathtaking beauty. Set on the slopes of a dormant volcano, this 18-hole championship course offers stunning views of mountains, plains, lakes, and the escarpments of the Rift Valley.
At an altitude of 7,000 feet on the Eburru Range, the course features one of Kenya’s longest holes, the par-5 17th at 598 meters. The course is well-watered with contoured greens built to USGA specifications and lush fairways of Kikuyu grass, ensuring year-round play.
The golf course is known for its fresh air, mild temperatures, and abundant wildlife. Golfers often encounter zebras, Black-headed Orioles, Fischer’s Lovebirds, and Egyptian geese on the greens.
